ECDC Training Programs

ECDC Canyoning training system to train practitioners in the sports field

3-Level System

The system comprises 3 levels that vary in the training of trainees with regard to their level of autonomy and framework of other athletes.

Canyoning Training Level 1

Level 1 aims to enable practitioners to have sports autonomy in low to medium vertical environments and low hydrology.

General Objectives

Prepare canyoning athletes to be autonomous in canyons with V3A2II rating, with autonomous athletes being all those capable of descending a canyon when integrated into a group of other autonomous or superior practitioners

Perfect rope progression techniques in difficult progression environments

Master rigging techniques and anchor management in low vertical environments

Grow into canyoning as a capable practitioner, standing out as a potential candidate for level 2 courses

Specific Objectives

Execute rappel maneuver in dry or aquatic environment, with and without self-belay, without rope obstacles

Execute rope ascent maneuver in dry or aquatic environment, without rope obstacles
